Ngoia Pollard Napaltjarri was born C1940's at Haasts Bluff, she is the daughter of Angoona Nangala and Jim Tjungurrayi. Her husband is Jack Tjampijinpa ( now deceased).
Ngoia paints her father's country, which is a sacred Walpiri territory associated with narratives to the 'Water Snake'. The oval shapes represent the lakes and the dots represents the drying of the land and shows the cracks in the ground forming.
Ngoia was the winner of the 2006 prestigious 23rd Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Award.
